Wherever your placement takes you, support will always be available. You will have 24/7 access to the case management team who are on hand to offer guidance and advice whenever you need it.
We ask all of our carers to write a personal profile upon employment. Wherever possible, we use this profile to place you with a client who shares your hobbies & interests. This will help you to bond more quickly with your client and to really enjoy the work that you do.
From the very first day of training week, you’ll be welcomed into a community of caring people dedicated to providing you with everything you need to carry out your role to the highest standard.
Our in-depth 5-day training programme gives you the tools, skills and mindset you need to deliver excellent care to our clients.
Training takes place at our head office in Welwyn Garden City and is led by our expert training coordinator, who will guide you through and answer any questions you might have throughout the week.
You’ll be taught the Care Certificate and other mandatory training, using classroom-style teaching, and there will also be mandatory e-learning modules to complete in the evenings.
The training and assessment week ensures you are taught all live-in care skills and care techniques, and gain the knowledge needed, to enable our clients to live well and safely at home.
Once you have passed our training and assessment week and are ready to be placed in work, you will be fully supported by your case manager. Observation assessments will be carried out in order to check your competence against relevant standards.
